TAV Airports Celebrates 25 Years: A Global Success Story

Turkey’s leading airport operations brand, TAV Airports, continues to pioneer the sector with a legacy spanning 25 years. Starting its journey in 2000 with 9 million passengers at Istanbul Atatürk Airport, the company has transformed into a success story, serving 107 million passengers across 15 airports in eight countries by 2024.

Serving 1.5 Billion Passengers: TAV Airports’ Milestones

TAV began operations on January 10, 2000, with the opening of Atatürk Airport’s new international terminal. Over a quarter of a century, the company has served 1.5 billion passengers. CEO Serkan Kaptan highlighted TAV’s evolution into a global brand, stating:

“This journey, initiated with the vision of our founders Tepe and Akfen, continues today as one of the world’s largest airport operating platforms through Groupe ADP. In our first year, we served 9 million passengers; by 2024, this number has grown to 107 million. With 44,000 employees, a market value of $3.2 billion, and operations worldwide, we have become a globally recognized brand.”
