Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TUSAŞ) will participate in the FEINDEF 2025 International Defence and Security Exhibition, to be held in Madrid from 12 to 14 May 2025. As Turkey’s leading aviation company, TUSAŞ will showcase its extensive portfolio of air platforms and integrated defence solutions at the event.
The HÜRJET model will be a particular highlight at the exhibition. This advanced jet trainer aircraft stands as a strong contender in Spain’s Special Modernisation Programme (PEM), which aims to replace the decommissioned F-5M aircraft.
A full-scale (1:1) mock-up of the HÜRJET will be displayed at stand E11A in Hall 4 and is expected to attract considerable attention. TUSAŞ’s main stand will be located in Hall 6, at position 6D07.
TUSAŞ General Manager Mehmet Demiroğlu will also attend the exhibition. This presence reflects the company’s aim not only to promote its products, but also to strengthen international partnerships and explore new cooperation opportunities.
Spain has allocated a budget of approximately €275 million for the procurement of 28 to 30 new aircraft to replace its fleet of 19 F-5Ms. HÜRJET is considered the leading candidate for this acquisition, a position reinforced by reports that the Spanish Air Force Chief of Staff, General Francisco Braco, has already flown the HÜRJET. While no official announcement has yet been made, the selection of HÜRJET is seen as almost certain.
