British Airways (BA), the UK-based airline giant, revealed that its staff had an unexpected and unusual overnight stay due to a booking mix-up at a hotel in Italy. At least 12 employees were forced to spend the night at Motel Mo.om in Milan, known for its BDSM-themed rooms, prompting action from the company’s management.
Booking Error Leads to Unexpected Accommodation
BA officials explained that while the crew was supposed to stay at the four-star Mo.om Hotel, reserved specifically for employees, a “booking team error” resulted in staff being placed at the unapproved and unusually themed Motel Mo.om. The motel is notable for its BDSM dungeon-like rooms featuring caged beds and crosses with wrist cuffs.
On the motel’s website, rooms are advertised at €280 per night (approximately £240), with descriptions stating, “Here there are no limits, only the fire of pleasure, the torment of passion, and surrender to desires.”
Staff Endured Difficult Moments
A source speaking to The Sun revealed, “Some crew members who stayed in the sex dungeon couldn’t sleep at all and struggled to perform their duties the next day.” It was also reported that the staff were disturbed by noise both day and night at the motel.
The source added, “There were even people outside proposing marriage to the staff. Suspicious fluids were reportedly found in the rooms.”
Flights Unaffected, Investigation Launched
Despite the unexpected incident, the affected staff reportedly did not cause any flight delays the following day. A British Airways spokesperson announced that an “urgent investigation” has been launched to ensure such incidents do not happen again.
