According to airline officials, following the precautionary decision made by the captain, the aircraft was directed to Frankfurt Airport. The plane landed safely and was subsequently examined in detail by technical teams.
SunExpress stated that after the inspections, the aircraft entered maintenance, and an alternative flight was arranged so that passengers could continue to Antalya later that evening.
