Crisis on Samsun–Düsseldorf Flight: Cabin Crew Member Fell Ill, 50 Passengers Denied Boarding
A shortage of cabin crew caused a two-hour delay, leaving dozens of passengers stranded.
An unexpected crisis occurred on the Samsun–Düsseldorf flight. The flight, scheduled for 03:45 on 4 September, was disrupted when one of the cabin crew members fell ill. Due to mandatory procedures, the shortage of crew led to around 50 passengers being denied boarding.
SunExpress Airlines announced that the flight could not operate with insufficient crew for safety reasons. As a result, the baggage of the passengers who were not allowed to board was offloaded, and after reloading the luggage of the remaining passengers, the plane was finally able to depart with a delay of about two hours.
Passengers who were denied boarding voiced their frustration, saying they had been left stranded. Many stated, “They left us in a difficult situation; we will take legal action.” The question remains as to how the airline will compensate the affected passengers. (gazetearena)
