İGA İstanbul Havalimanı’ndan Hayvanlara Yönelik Olay Hakkında Açıklama
İGA Istanbul Airport has issued a statement regarding the widely shared images on social media depicting treatment of animals that deeply upset the public.
It was noted that the incident occurred within the responsibility of a foreign airline and its representative. İGA Istanbul Airport emphasised that it maintains the highest level of sensitivity towards animals and nature. The institution stated that it is conducting an investigation and closely monitoring developments outside the organisation.
Although the process has not yet been completed, preliminary examinations have shown that both the airline and the pet owner faced difficulties in fulfilling their responsibilities. The situation was brought under control with the support of the local municipality’s veterinary services.

In response to the images circulating on social media that have deeply affected all of us and depict behaviour towards animals that is never acceptable, İGA Istanbul Airport felt the need to issue a statement.
While the incident occurred within the responsibility of a foreign airline and its representative, İGA Istanbul Airport—an institution that demonstrates utmost sensitivity towards animals and nature in its operations—has been conducting an investigation and monitoring developments outside the organisation with due diligence.
Although the investigation is ongoing, it has so far been determined that the airline and the pet owner experienced significant difficulties in fulfilling their responsibilities, and the situation was brought under control with veterinary support provided by the local municipality.
