Greek airline SKY Express has reached a significant milestone in its Athens-Istanbul flights, which began on 12 November 2024.
Operating daily return flights, SKY Express has carried 10,000 passengers to Istanbul Airport, continuing to strengthen air travel between Turkey and Greece. The airline’s first flight on this route took place on 12 November 2024, and demand quickly surged.
SKY Express Continues to Grow
Having become Greece’s leading domestic carrier, SKY Express serves 33 destinations across the country. It is also expanding its international network to 22 destinations, sustaining its growth strategy. By launching direct daily flights, SKY Express supports tourism and business relations between the two countries and has announced an 11% growth target for the Athens-Istanbul market in 2025.

SKY Express made its inaugural Athens-Istanbul flight on 12 November 2024, becoming the 110th airline to commence operations at Istanbul Airport.
