A 20-year-old passenger from New Jersey, Yisroel Liebb, has filed a lawsuit against United Airlines after an incident during a flight from Mexico to Texas. Liebb claims that he was suffering from constipation and remained in the lavatory for an extended period, only to be forcibly removed by the pilot while his trousers were still down.
Incident Details:
According to the lawsuit, Liebb stayed in the lavatory for over 20 minutes, prompting concern from his seatmate, who alerted the cabin crew. Despite reassuring them that he would exit shortly, the pilot allegedly took matters into his own hands and aggressively removed Liebb from the toilet.
Liebb claims that the pilot broke open the lavatory door and forcibly pulled him out while his trousers were still down. Furthermore, he alleges that the pilot made a discriminatory remark about “how Jews behave.”
Detainment and Aftermath:
Upon landing, Yisroel Liebb and his seatmate were met by five Customs and Border Protection agents and taken into custody at the terminal. However, they were later released without any charges.
Liebb also asserts that he sustained injuries to his head and legs during the pilot’s intervention, suffered from overly tight handcuffs, and experienced significant trauma. The lawsuit seeks financial compensation for emotional and physical distress, as well as legal fees.
United Airlines Remains Silent:
United Airlines has declined to comment on the incident, citing the ongoing legal proceedings.
