Shocking Allegations in Antalya Plane Fire: “The Fire Was Intentionally Set”

At Antalya Airport, an Azimuth Airlines Sukhoi Superjet 100 caught fire in its engine section during landing from Sochi. Following a hard landing, the aircraft carrying 89 passengers and 6 crew members was evacuated swiftly. However, passengers have filed complaints with the prosecutor’s office, alleging that the fire was deliberately set.

“Does Turkish Airlines Have a Plane Fire Every Month?”

The passengers’ lawyer, Candaş Gürol, claimed that a similar incident occurred with the same aircraft model just a month ago. Highlighting that such incidents are not routine in civil aviation, Gürol remarked, “It is unacceptable for fires to occur on planes a month apart. Does Turkish Airlines have a plane fire every month?”

Insurance Claims Raise Suspicions

Passengers have also made striking claims regarding the aircraft’s insurance status. It was alleged that the plane’s insurance was set to expire in seven days and had not been renewed. Gürol stated, “Having such an accident so close to the insurance expiry date raises serious concerns. Additionally, the Krasnodar Prosecutor’s Office is also conducting an investigation on this matter.”

Investigation Deepens

Authorities in both Turkey and Russia are conducting comprehensive investigations into the incident. Passengers are demanding a thorough examination of the danger they faced and the prosecution of those responsible.
