Mavi Gök Aviation, one of the rising brands in Turkey’s civil aviation sector, has made a significant move to strengthen its organisational structure. Effective as of 23 June 2025, experienced aviation executive Mehmet Bostan has been appointed as the company’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), responsible for overseeing operational units.
Widely recognised for his extensive industry experience, Bostan graduated from Saint Benoît French High School and Istanbul Atatürk Science High School before earning his degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University. Throughout his aviation career, he has held numerous critical positions in maintenance, quality, and flight safety. He also holds both technician and amateur pilot licences.
Bostan joined Tailwind Airlines in 2009, initially serving as Director of Quality and Safety, and later as COO. In 2018, he was promoted to CEO of the airline, a role he successfully held for nearly seven years.
In a statement from Mavi Gök Aviation, the company expressed its confidence in the new appointment:
“We believe that Mr Mehmet Bostan’s addition to our team will further enhance our operational processes and bring strategic value to our organisation. We wish him great success in his new role.”
