Selahattin Bilgen, CEO of İGA Istanbul Airport, participated in the panel titled “Technology and Innovation Vision of İGA Istanbul Airport & Partnership with Plug and Play Tech Center” at the Plug and Play Türkiye Expo 2024 event. Highlighting the importance of open innovation strategies, Bilgen noted that this partnership enabled them to collaborate with over 100 startups and implement 17 transformative projects.
During the panel, it was emphasized that innovative projects in energy and operational efficiency, passenger experience, and sustainability play a crucial role in shaping the future of aviation. Bilgen stated that İGA views innovation as a journey, saying, “Through open innovation, we develop collective intelligence with various stakeholders. This not only enhances technological sustainability but also provides new opportunities for entrepreneurs.”
The collaboration with Plug and Play supports İGA’s vision of becoming a technology hub that not only leads the aviation sector in Turkey but also has a global impact.
