Significant developments took place at the Turkish Airlines (THY) Ordinary General Assembly. In the new term, Board Member Hüseyin Keskin and Independent Board Member Fatmanur Altun are no longer part of the management. Additionally, Ramazan Sarı, who previously served as a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee, is also absent from the new board.
Board Member Compensation Raised to 80,000 TL
The monthly remuneration (“huzur hakkı”) for THY Board Members has been set at 80,000 TL. In addition, members will be entitled to receive bonuses four times a year. This increase is aimed at strengthening THY’s corporate governance practices.
New Management: Deputy Minister of Tourism and Experienced General Manager
Deputy Minister of Tourism Özgür Özkan Yavuz and Gülden Nacar, who serves as general manager at the family-owned company Ayfleks Packaging, have joined the THY board. With these new appointments, a renewal has taken place in THY’s management team.
Former Members No Longer on the Board
It is notable that Hüseyin Keskin and Fatmanur Altun are no longer on the Board of Directors for the new term. It has also been confirmed that Ramazan Sarı will not be serving on the board.
