During the WBCA Airshow held in Laredo, Texas, an A20 Havoc aircraft, “N747HS,” caught fire and crashed near the runway while attempting to land due to a engine malfunction.
The Laredo Police Department reported that the crash resulted in severe head injuries to the pilot. Emergency response teams were quickly dispatched to the scene, and firefighting crews worked to contain the blaze. Medical personnel treated the injured pilot and airlifted him to San Antonio for emergency treatment.

After the incident, event organizers announced that the airshow would continue and informed the public that the show would resume at 1:30 PM. Due to security measures, the police closed off roads surrounding the airport to allow emergency vehicles access to the site. The local community was warned to stay away for safety reasons.
