Sabre Corporation has signed its 100th network planning and optimisation agreement, welcoming Air India Express as a key customer. The Air India subsidiary will leverage Sabre’s Network Planning & Optimisation suite, including the Schedule Manager and Slot Manager solutions.
Maximising Revenue and Passenger Demand
These solutions will help streamline flight scheduling and optimise slot usage to maximise revenue and passenger demand. Sabre’s Schedule Manager enables airlines to create, modify, and publish optimal schedules based on market demand, operational constraints, and business objectives. Meanwhile, Slot Manager will assist carriers in managing slot requests and allocations.
Critical Importance in India’s Aviation Sector
Rakesh Narayanan, Vice President and Regional General Manager of Airline Sales for Asia Pacific at Sabre Travel Solutions, stated: “A smart network planning strategy is vital for any airline, no matter where they are in the world. But it’s especially critical in India, where record aircraft orders, new carriers, new airports, and significant infrastructure investments are reshaping aviation.”
“This milestone underscores the confidence airlines like Air India Express place in Sabre’s ability to deliver technology that optimises operations,” he added.
Air India Express’s Expanding Network
Air India Express currently operates more than 2,800 flights per week across over 200 routes to 54 destinations in India, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East. This new partnership will enhance the airline’s operational efficiency, helping it achieve a more competitive position in the market.
