Russian Airline Utair to Launch Direct Flights to Istanbul

One of Russia’s leading regional airlines, Utair, continues to expand its flight network. The airline has officially announced that, as of 1 June 2025, it will commence a direct weekly flight from Ufa International Airport to Istanbul Airport.

Once a Week: Sunday Flights

The flights between Ufa and Istanbul will operate on a reciprocal basis every Sunday. The flight schedule is as follows:

  • Departure from Ufa: 12:30 (local time)

  • Return from Istanbul: 16:25 (local time)

  • Flight duration: Approximately 5 hours

  • Aircraft type: Boeing 737-800

Tickets are already on sale. This new route is expected to provide a valuable alternative for Russian tourists and business travellers heading to Turkey.

Currently, Red Wings Airlines also operates flights on the Ufa-Istanbul route. With Utair entering the market, competition on this route is expected to increase, offering passengers both price advantages and more flexible travel options.
