The Russian Ministry of Defence announced that the Russian Armed Forces had shot down a Ukrainian Air Force MiG-29 fighter jet during an aerial battle using air defence systems.
According to the ministry’s statement, Russian air defence systems also neutralised five Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) guided bombs, seven HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, and 50 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
According to data from the Ministry of Defence, a total of 657 aircraft, 283 helicopters, and approximately 46,000 UAVs have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation.
