Russia Shoots Down 40 Ukrainian Drones! Airports Shut Down

Russia announced that its air defense systems successfully repelled a large-scale attack during the night. According to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense, 40 Ukrainian drones were neutralized in various regions across the country.

Five Regions Targeted

The Ministry of Defense reported that the attacks were concentrated in five different regions:

  • Saratov Region: 18 drones destroyed.
  • Rostov Region: 13 drones shot down.
  • Bryansk Region: 6 drones neutralized.
  • Volgograd Region: 2 drones hit.
  • Belgorod Region: 1 drone taken down.

Airports Temporarily Closed

The Russian Civil Aviation Authority announced that airports in Kazan, Kirov, Saratov, and Ulyanovsk were temporarily closed to flights due to the attacks.

Damage to an Industrial Facility

Saratov Governor Roman Busargin confirmed that an industrial facility sustained damage during the attacks. However, he stated that no casualties or injuries were reported and that security measures prevented significant damage to the facility.
