Airbus Helicopters has officially introduced HTeaming, its modular crewed-uncrewed teaming solution, ahead of the 2025 Paris Air Show. The new system enables helicopter crews to directly control Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS) during missions.
HTeaming can function either as a stand-alone system or as part of an integrated mission setup. At the Paris show, Airbus will present the stand-alone version, which includes a human-machine interface tablet, UAS management software, a modem, and four antennas integrated into the helicopter. The system has been optimised to allow helicopter crews to manage operations with minimal workload.
Successful Initial Tests Completed
Initial flight tests were carried out in May 2025 with a Spanish Navy H135 helicopter and an Airbus Flexrotor UAS. Additional tests involving various platforms are planned for the coming months.
“Compatible with Any Helicopter, Any UAS”
Victor Gerin Roze, Head of UAS at Airbus Helicopters, stated:
“We draw on our experience as both a helicopter and UAS manufacturer. HTeaming offers a modular and system-agnostic solution. It can be easily integrated into any helicopter and used to control any UAS. We plan to make the system operational for users starting in 2026.”
Roze emphasised that UAS serve as “force multipliers” for helicopters and highlighted the goal of executing more efficient and safer missions through sensor and effector integration.

Airbus Progresses Toward Fully Integrated Solutions
HTeaming is built on the foundation of successful high-compatibility flight tests involving various UAS platforms with Airbus’s H135, H145, and H130 helicopter models. Alongside the stand-alone version unveiled at the Paris Air Show, integrated versions of HTeaming will be gradually introduced into Airbus’s product line.
