Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport celebrated the 29 October Republic Day with passengers and visitors through a series of events. The day began at 10:00 a.m. with the “Republic’s Music” concert. At the “We Won the Republic This Way” themed photo area set up in front of the domestic departures gate, passengers shared the enthusiasm as the trio performed various pieces.
At the airport’s departures level, the photo area decorated with representations from the War of Independence, the crescent and star, and visuals of Atatürk became a popular spot for many guests. Passengers who wished to collect memories of this special day during their travels joined the celebrations by taking numerous photos at the area. Throughout the event, participants were given badges featuring the Turkish flag and the Sabiha Gökçen Airport flag.
Through this event, Sabiha Gökçen Airport aimed to share the Republic Day spirit with its passengers and to keep alive the significance of 29 October and national values.
