Qantas is advancing its fleet expansion with the Airbus A321XLR, currently under assembly at Airbus’s Hamburg facility. Scheduled for delivery in April 2025, this new aircraft is set to replace Boeing 737s, revolutionizing domestic and short-haul international routes.

Sustainability and Innovation

Qantas CEO Vanessa Hudson highlighted the broader impact of the fleet renewal:

Aircraft Details
The first Airbus A321XLR, registered as VH-OGA, will be named “Great Ocean Road.” Components are being manufactured across Europe and assembled at Airbus’s Finkenwerder plant in Hamburg.
