President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan presented appreciation plaques to institutions, organizations, and private sector representatives who contributed to the reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts following the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes on February 6, 2023.
As part of the “We Become One – February 6 Earthquakes Memorial Program” held at the Adıyaman Youth and Sports Directorate Sports Hall, 42 industry representatives were honored for their contributions to the “unity of the century.” The recipients, who received their plaques from President Erdoğan, symbolized the spirit of solidarity.

The plaques featured the symbol of the Anatolian carnation, along with a heartfelt message reflecting the deep meaning of solidarity:
“The exemplary unity, generosity, and sacrifice you demonstrated in the disaster of the century, which will never be erased from our memories, will always be remembered and serve as an inspiration for future generations.”
Distinguished Figures from Various Sectors
Several notable names stood out for their contributions in different fields:
- Technology: BAYKAR Chairman Selçuk Bayraktar was recognized for his technology-driven aid efforts in the earthquake-affected regions.
- Aviation: Turkish Airlines (THY) Chairman Ahmet Bolat received an award for his contributions to the aviation sector’s relief operations.

At the end of the ceremony, President Erdoğan posed for a commemorative photo with the honorees. This meaningful event once again emphasized Turkey’s unity and resilience in times of hardship.
