In a plane crash that occurred in the city of Gardner, Kansas, a twin-engine Beechcraft King Air aircraft collided with the roof of a hangar at New Century AirCenter. Two people were injured in the incident.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the aircraft encountered issues around 1:20 p.m. during takeoff. Eyewitnesses reported that shortly after takeoff, the aircraft’s left engine failed. Although the plane managed to gain some altitude, it lost control during a turn and struck the corner of a hangar belonging to Butler Avionics.
The impact left the aircraft hanging from the roof of the hangar. Fortunately, no fire broke out at the scene. Both individuals onboard were rescued with injuries and transported to a nearby hospital. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Authorities cordoned off the area following the crash, and both the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have launched an investigation into the incident.
