Increasing geopolitical tension in the Middle East is negatively impacting air traffic in the region. Following the clashes between Iran and Israel that began on 13 June, and the closure of the airspaces of Iran, Iraq, Jordan, and Lebanon, Pegasus Airlines decided to temporarily suspend its flights to these destinations.
According to an official statement by Pegasus Airlines, flights to Iran have been cancelled until 30 June, while flights to Iraq, Jordan, and Lebanon have been cancelled until 23 June. These dates include night flights from Monday to Tuesday.
The announcement on Pegasus’ website included the following statements:
“Due to the recent events in the Middle East and uncertainties in security conditions; all our flights to Iran (all destinations) are cancelled until 30 June, and flights to Iraq (all destinations), Jordan (AMM), and Lebanon (BEY) are cancelled until 23 June.”
It was noted that passengers can access updated information via Pegasus Airlines’ official website and mobile application. Details regarding ticket changes and refund procedures can also be followed on the same platforms.
