Pegasus Airlines’ Special Flight for International Women’s Day

Pegasus Airlines marked International Women’s Day on 8 March with a meaningful event. The airline operated two special flights with all-female cockpit and cabin crews, showcasing the strength and potential of women in the aviation industry.

All-Female Special Flight Crew

Supporting inclusivity, equality, and diversity, Pegasus Airlines carried out two special flights with the aircraft named ‘Cumhuriyet’, which joined their fleet in the Republic’s 100th year, under the vision of “Our Route: An Equal and Multivocal Future”. The ‘Cumhuriyet’ aircraft departed from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport on flight PC 2186 and returned to Istanbul on flight PC 2183.

A Meaningful Message from the Captain

Pegasus passengers were greeted with a special announcement from Captain Ayşe Gül Akgül Çelik on both flights. In her announcement, Çelik said:

“We are proud to operate this special flight with our all-female crew on the occasion of International Women’s Day on 8 March. We celebrate Women’s Day for all our female guests. It is a great pleasure to serve you on this special journey with our cherished ‘Cumhuriyet’ aircraft.
