Pegasus Airlines has launched its application process for pilot candidates. According to the company’s announcement, the job posting will close on 1st April 2025. Candidates whose applications are positively evaluated will be contacted within 7 to 10 working days following this date.
Required Qualifications
The main criteria Pegasus is looking for in its new pilot candidates are as follows:
- Being a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye,
- Having fluent Turkish speaking and writing skills,
- Graduating from a 4-year undergraduate programme at a university in Türkiye or, for candidates who graduated from universities abroad, possessing a YÖK equivalency certificate,
- Being born on or after 1st January 1995,
- Meeting the following minimum scores in English proficiency exams taken within the last two years:
IELTS (General or Academic):
- Overall: 6
- Speaking: 6
- Listening: 6
- Reading: 6
- Writing: 6
TOEFL IBT:
- Overall: 84
- Listening: 22
- Speaking: 22
- Reading: 20
- Writing: 20
ITEP Academic Plus:
- Overall: 3.5
- Listening: 3.5
- Speaking: 3.5
- Reading: 3
- Writing: 3
- Grammar: 3
Candidates without an English proficiency certificate will have the opportunity to take the exams organised by Pegasus.
Additionally, candidates must meet the SHT-MED Class-1 Medical Certificate requirements set by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM), have a height between 160 cm and 195 cm, and comply with Pegasus’s Body Mass Index (BMI) standards. Furthermore, candidates who have not been involved with military service for at least two years, have a clean criminal record, and have not previously participated in any pilot training programmes (such as PPL, CPL, etc.) will be prioritised.
