A critical aviation incident has occurred in Russia’s southeastern Amur region. According to local media sources, contact was suddenly lost between air traffic controllers and a Russian An-24 passenger aircraft carrying approximately 50 people.
As reported by the Interfax news agency, the aircraft — whose status as a civilian or private flight is still unclear — vanished from radar while cruising over Amur airspace. Russian aviation authorities have launched an emergency search and rescue operation in response to the incident.
