Passenger Attacks Cabin Crew on American Airlines Flight

A flight operated by American Airlines from Savannah to Miami was abruptly interrupted after 31-year-old passenger Delange Augustin attacked the cabin crew.

Chaos on Board: Punches and Kicks at Cabin Crew

The incident began shortly after take-off when Augustin suddenly started trembling and shouting. As the cabin crew attempted to assist him, he kicked a flight attendant and tried to lunge at the aircraft door.

Augustin was restrained with difficulty by fellow passengers, prompting the captain to decide to return the plane to Savannah. Reports also indicate that he damaged the seat in front of him by repeatedly kicking it.

Witnesses: “The Most Disturbing Incident I’ve Ever Seen”

Passenger Rob Rosenberg, speaking to CBS Miami, described the scene as “incredibly violent,” stating, “He kicked and punched another passenger’s seat, completely deforming it. It was one of the most disturbing incidents I’ve ever witnessed.”

Crisis Upon Landing: FBI Intervenes

Upon landing in Savannah, Augustin once again lost control and ran towards the front of the aircraft. Three passengers managed to subdue him. His sister later claimed that he had swallowed prayer beads, believing it would grant him strength in a ‘spiritual battle.’

The FBI took Augustin into custody on charges of “interfering with flight crew duties.” An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
