Ordu-Giresun Airport, which was temporarily closed for apron expansion, a second taxiway, and lighting works that began on September 16, 2024, is set to reopen after a 50-day renovation period. The closure had caused transportation challenges for the local community, but the work has continued at full speed, and the reopening date is now confirmed. The first flights will commence on Monday, November 5.
The first flight is scheduled at 7:40 p.m. by Pegasus Airlines, followed by Turkish Airlines at 9:15 p.m. From Tuesday, November 6, all flights will resume as planned.
