Orange Alert Across Turkey Following Terrorist Attack on TUSAS! Thorough Vehicle Inspections at Airports!

Following a heinous terrorist attack targeting TUSAS, Turkey has heightened its security measures nationwide. An orange alert has been issued at all airports, particularly at Istanbul and Sabiha Gökçen airports.

Terrorist Attack in Kahramankazan: 5 Martyrs

Yesterday, a terrorist attack on the TUSAS Headquarters in Ankara’s Kahramankazan district resulted in the death of 5 people, including 4 TUSAŞ employees and a taxi driver. Additionally, 22 others, including security personnel, were injured in the attack.

Increased Security at Airports

In response to the attack, security measures have been intensified across Turkey, with airports placed on orange alert to prevent potential threats. As a result, security has been tightened at entry and exit points of Sabiha Gökçen and Istanbul airports.

Airport Security Measures:

  • Vehicles entering the airports are being thoroughly inspected.
  • Passenger identity checks are being conducted meticulously.
  • Additional security personnel have been deployed.

Important Reminder for Passengers

Due to the additional security measures, Sabiha Gökçen Airport issued a warning: “Attention passengers, due to the enhanced security precautions at airports, we recommend arriving at the terminal at least three (3) hours before your flight to avoid potential delays.”

This is crucial to ensure passengers’ safety and prevent disruptions to their travel plans.
