As part of the Global Transport Connectivity Forum 2025 held in Istanbul, Malaysia’s Deputy Minister of Transport, Mr. Hasbi Habibollah, visited Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (ISG) accompanied by Mr. Ahmad Amiri Abu Bakar, Consul General of Malaysia in Istanbul.

Corporate Briefing and Terminal Tour
During the visit, the Deputy Minister was given a comprehensive briefing by ISG management, including a corporate presentation detailing the airport’s structure, operational processes, and capacity. Following the presentation, a technical tour of the terminal was conducted, providing an on-site look at daily operations and passenger experience processes.

Mutual Knowledge Sharing and Emphasis on Cooperation
In meetings with ISG senior management, topics such as airport operations, digitalisation, sustainability, and capacity enhancement were discussed. The visit was regarded as a significant step in exploring aviation cooperation opportunities between the two countries.

Message of Appreciation
In a statement made by Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport management, the following remarks were included:
“We were honoured to host Deputy Minister Mr. Hasbi Habibollah and his accompanying delegation at our airport. We hope that this visit will contribute to the development of aviation relations between Malaysia and Türkiye, and we extend our sincere thanks for their kind visit.”
