Trade Minister Ömer Bolat made significant statements regarding the issues related to Schengen visas. Bolat expressed that they have initiated efforts to address the disruptions in commercial and touristic activities due to the refusal of visas to Turkish citizens, noting that Germany has the highest visa rejection rates.
According to a report in Cumhuriyet, Minister Bolat stated, “We are pressuring member countries on the visa issue,” and mentioned that they are conducting intensive diplomacy with member countries to reduce visa rejection rates. Emphasizing the steps taken to overcome these problems and prevent disruptions in commercial and touristic activities, Bolat said, “We have requested the creation of new mechanisms for the fast track visa application.”
What is a Fast Track Visa?
The fast track visa application is a system that provides a quick passage through passport and security control. This application creates a priority passage right through the fast track gate, thus aiming to expedite visa processes. The fast track visa offers a significant advantage, especially for businesspeople and frequent travelers.
Minister Bolat stated that with the implementation of the fast track visa application, visa processes will be accelerated, and thus commercial and touristic activities will continue more smoothly.
