BookingAgora, in partnership with Turkish Airlines and Marriott Jordan, hosted Turkey’s leading travel agencies in Jordan. During the five-day exclusive familiarisation tour covering a route from Petra to Wadi Rum and from Aqaba to Amman, participants explored Jordan’s historical, cultural, and natural riches.

20 Travel Agency Executives from Turkey Discover Jordan
Offering global travel solutions to more than 10,000 travel agencies and over 15,000 users across 47 countries, BookingAgora continues to organise familiarisation trips aimed at introducing new destinations and alternative markets to Turkish travel agencies.
The latest tour, held in Jordan, was sponsored by Turkish Airlines and Marriott Jordan. Senior executives from 20 leading Turkish travel agencies followed a unique route stretching from the north to the south of the country during the five-day comprehensive programme.

An Unforgettable Route from Petra to the Dead Sea
The journey began with the group’s arrival in Amman. On the first day, participants explored the historic streets of Salt and visited the Ottoman Martyrs’ Memorial. The Amman city tour showcased both the ancient and modern faces of the capital.
On the second day, visits to Ajloun and Jerash revealed the Roman heritage of northern Jordan. The third day featured stops at Madaba, Mount Nebo, and the Dead Sea, where participants enjoyed a unique swimming experience in the mineral-rich waters.
The fourth day of the trip included the exploration of Petra, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. This was followed by a jeep safari in the Wadi Rum Desert, offering a mystical atmosphere. The programme concluded with dinner in Aqaba and a snorkelling tour in the Red Sea.

“Jordan Exceeds Expectations as a Destination”
Participating travel agency executives described Jordan as “a destination that far exceeds expectations.”
One participant remarked, “The magic of Petra, the landscapes of Wadi Rum, and the warmth of the Jordanian people deeply impressed us. There is great potential in the Turkish market.”
Another added, “Jordan is an authentic and accessible route for travellers seeking history, nature, and experience. Events like this are invaluable for promoting the destination.”

“We Will Continue to Introduce New Destinations”
BookingAgora representatives stated that similar familiarisation tours would continue in order to introduce new destinations and alternative markets to Turkish travel agencies.
This event, sponsored by Turkish Airlines and Marriott Jordan, also added new momentum to tourism relations between the two countries.

Jordan’s Growing Tourism Potential
Thanks to its short flight duration of approximately two hours, visa convenience, and cultural affinity, Jordan has recently stood out among tours departing from Turkey. With its iconic landmarks such as Petra, Wadi Rum, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, the country offers a unique alternative for travellers seeking a blend of history, culture, and nature.
The best times to visit are spring (March–June) and autumn (September–November). Regular Turkish Airlines flights to Amman and Marriott Jordan’s comfortable accommodation options make the country easily accessible for Turkish tourists.
