Scheduled flights between Hungary’s capital Budapest and Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport have officially begun. A Boeing 738 aircraft operated by Corendon Airlines successfully landed in Gazipaşa with 180 passengers and 6 crew members on board. The plane was welcomed with a traditional water salute ceremony at the airport.
To mark the inaugural flight, passengers were greeted at the terminal with carnations, a celebratory cake was cut, and local gifts were presented to the crew. The vibrant ceremony is seen as the beginning of a new chapter for tourism in the region.
Weekly Flights Throughout the Summer
Between 17 June and 30 September 2025, Corendon Airlines will operate weekly round-trip flights every Tuesday on the Budapest – Gazipaşa route. A total of 32 flights are scheduled for the season. This new route is particularly significant in meeting the growing tourist demand from the European market for Alanya and its surroundings.
A New Bridge to the Mediterranean
Gazipaşa and Alanya, two of Turkey’s premier Mediterranean tourism destinations, continue to attract millions of international visitors every year with their natural beauty, historical charm, and high-quality tourism infrastructure. These new direct flights from Budapest aim to build a strong holiday bridge between Central Europe and the Mediterranean.
