New Crisis in the Middle East: US Shoots Down Houthi Drones!

Tensions in the Middle East continue to escalate. A US official announced on Sunday that an American fighter jet had shot down 11 drones belonging to the Houthi group in Yemen. According to a report by Reuters, the official also stated that a missile launched by the Houthis had fallen into the sea without posing any threat.

US Intervenes Against Houthi Drones

As a result of the operation carried out by a US fighter jet, a total of 11 Houthi drones were neutralised in Yemeni airspace. The official noted that the missile attack was unsuccessful, as the launched missile landed in the sea off the coast of Yemen.

Houthi Retaliation: USS Harry S. Truman Targeted

On the same day, the Houthi group in Yemen announced that they had retaliated against US attacks. Group spokesperson Yahya al-Sarai stated in a video message that they had targeted the US aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman and warships located in the northern Red Sea.

According to the statement, the Houthis used a total of 18 ballistic missiles and one drone in the attack. The spokesperson emphasised that this was a response to US interventions in Yemen.

Rising Tensions in the Red Sea

The latest developments have once again raised security concerns in the Red Sea and off the coast of Yemen. Observers are closely monitoring whether the US military will continue its operations against the Houthis and the potential for further clashes between the parties.
