A new chapter is beginning in Uzbekistan’s aviation sector. The newly established passenger airline, Tashkent Air, has announced that it will commence scheduled flights as of June 2, 2025. Operating with a wide-body Airbus A330-200, the airline will initially serve major cities in Russia.
In its first phase, the new airline will operate flights to Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Vladivostok. Departures will be from four major Uzbek cities: Tashkent, Bukhara, Samarkand, and Termez.
Long-Haul Comfort with Airbus A330-200
Tashkent Air will conduct its operations with its first fleet aircraft, the Airbus A330-200, which was delivered in the summer of 2024. Successful test flights were carried out with this aircraft, including trial flights on the Tashkent–Moscow route on April 30 and the Tashkent–St. Petersburg route on May 17, both completed smoothly.

Aviation Sector Continues to Rise
In the first quarter of 2025, Uzbek airlines carried a total of 1.7 million passengers, marking a 16.9% increase compared to the same period last year. These figures clearly reflect the growth of the country’s civil aviation infrastructure and the rising demand for international connectivity.
