The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) announced that a C-130 aircraft belonging to the Turkish Armed Forces has been assigned for the rescue of citizens stranded in the cable car accident in the Konyaaltı district of Antalya.
During the cable car accident in Konyaaltı district, one person lost their life and ten others, including two children, were injured when the cabin, which collided with a fallen pole, shattered. Rescue efforts have been initiated for those stranded.
According to the statement by the MSB, “Following the cable car accident in Antalya, a C-130 aircraft belonging to the Turkish Armed Forces has been assigned to transport rescue teams and necessary materials from Erzurum to Antalya to aid in the rescue efforts.”
It was mentioned that the assigned aircraft will assist in the rapid transportation of rescue teams and required materials to the location of the accident.
