Istanbul-based MNG Airlines continues to expand its fleet. The company has taken delivery of a newly converted Airbus A330-300 passenger-to-freighter (P2F) aircraft. With this addition, the number of aircraft in MNG Airlines’ cargo fleet has increased to 12.

The A330-300P2F in question has been leased from aviation investment specialist and asset manager Stratos. Converted from a passenger model to a freighter by Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW) in Dresden, Germany, the aircraft has joined the MNG fleet with the registration TC-MCP. It has been noted that at least two of the airline’s other three A330P2Fs were also converted by EFW.

Following the delivery, MNG Airlines CEO Ali Sedat Özkazanç stated:

“We are delighted to collaborate with Stratos at MNG Airlines. The addition of this new A330-300P2F to our fleet will significantly contribute to our goal of expanding our global logistics network and offering more efficient solutions to our customers. We thank the Stratos team for their support and look forward to strengthening this partnership in the years to come.”

Stratos’ Marketing Director Camille Pousseur also expressed satisfaction with their collaboration with MNG, saying:

“We are pleased to lease this A330-300P2F to a growing carrier. We hope our partnership with MNG will be long-lasting and successful.”

MNG Airlines’ Current Fleet:

  • 4 Airbus A330-300P2Fs
  • 3 Airbus A300-600P2Fs (one parked, one operating for DHL Aviation)
  • 2 Airbus A330-200Fs
  • 2 Airbus A321-200P2Fs
  • 1 Airbus A300C4-600F

The airline operates scheduled and charter cargo flights to various destinations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. MNG Airlines had previously announced in 2023 that it had abandoned its plans to become a publicly traded US company on the New York Stock Exchange.
