Dr. Mehmet Demiroğlu, General Manager of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ), met with students at Manisa Celal Bayar University (MCBÜ) during the conference titled “Managing Transformation.” Demiroğlu delivered the message to young people: “Don’t be afraid of change.”
The Event Took Place at Manisa Celal Bayar University
The conference was held at the Prof. Ümit Doğay Arınç Cultural Center on the Şehit Prof. Dr. İlhan Varank Campus of Manisa Celal Bayar University.
In his speech to the students, TUSAŞ General Manager Dr. Mehmet Demiroğlu highlighted Turkey’s transformation process in aviation and technology.
Demiroğlu urged young people to “take an active role in Turkey’s future,” delivering the following messages:
“Life is an adventure. Don’t be afraid of failure. Every change is actually an opportunity. Don’t be afraid to change or to make changes.”

Emphasis on “Build Your Own Aircraft”
Referring to Turkey’s aviation history, Demiroğlu summarized the process from TUSAŞ’s establishment to the present:
“The Turkish aviation journey, which began in the 1910s, gained an institutional identity with the establishment of TUSAŞ in 1973. Our fundamental goal is to bring to life the concept of ‘build your own aircraft.’”
Demiroğlu stressed that transformation should not be limited to technological innovation alone, but must also be managed in terms of human resources, leadership, and corporate culture.
