Mapsis Aviation, a supplier of parts to Turkey’s leading defence industry manufacturers, has filed for concordat due to financial difficulties. The Gebze Civil Commercial Court granted the company a three-month temporary respite and appointed a provisional concordat commissioner to oversee the process.
Produced for Aselsan, TÜBİTAK, TUSAŞ, and Roketsan
Founded in 2011 with KOSGEB support, Mapsis Aviation quickly became a prominent manufacturer in the defence, aviation, and energy sectors. The company has produced for institutions such as Aselsan, Roketsan, TÜBİTAK, TUSAŞ, SAGE, Kale Aviation, and Turkish Airlines. It also ranked among the few Turkish firms manufacturing for CERN (the European Organisation for Nuclear Research).
Three-Month Temporary Respite and Injunction Decision
The court granted a three-month temporary respite and precautionary injunction for both Mapsis Metal Aviation and Defence Industry Inc. and Win Metal Industry Trade Inc.
In accordance with Article 288 of the Enforcement and Bankruptcy Law, creditors may object to the concordat within seven days of the announcement. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 25 December 2025.
Domestic Production and R&D-Oriented Structure
Based in Kocaeli, the company operated in machining and aluminium processing, adopting the principle of domestic production. Mapsis Aviation, which supplied critical components to the defence and aviation industries, aimed to expand into international markets with its own product designs.
However, increasing production costs, financial pressures, and contraction in the sector have negatively affected the company’s operations. For these reasons, it has been reported that Mapsis Aviation has declared concordat.
