European aircraft manufacturer Airbus has signed a significant order agreement with Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG). As the parent company of Malaysia’s flag carrier airline, MAG has ordered 20 A330neo aircraft, bringing the total number of A330neos in its fleet to 40.
In a statement released by MAG, it was announced that the new aircraft will be delivered between 2029 and 2031. The Group CEO, Datuk Captain Izham Ismail, emphasized that this investment is of great importance within the company’s sustainable growth objectives and strategy to enhance competitiveness. He stated that they aim to provide passengers with top-level comfort and service, and that the fleet modernization is a key part of this vision.
The announcement of the agreement was made during the official visit of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to France.
