TAV Airports Holding has announced a significant change in its senior management team. Karim Ben Salem, an experienced figure in the international finance sector, has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He will take over the role from the current CFO and Deputy CEO, Burcu Geriş, who will step down as of 30 June 2025.
Karim Ben Salem will also serve as a member of the TAV Airports Executive Board.
Karim Ben Salem Brings International Finance Expertise
After graduating from ESCP Business School in 2011, Karim Ben Salem began his career in France as an M&A advisor. He worked for leading European financial institutions such as Leonardo & Co and Société Générale before joining Groupe ADP in 2016. There, he served as Director of Business Planning and later as Head of Financial Planning and Analysis. In 2021, he was appointed CFO of ADP International, the branch responsible for Groupe ADP’s international operations.
With this strong financial background, Ben Salem aims to contribute to TAV Airports’ global growth objectives.
Burcu Geriş Steps Down After Over 20 Years of Accomplishment
Burcu Geriş began her career at TAV Airports in 2005, was appointed CFO in 2012, and promoted to Deputy CEO in 2022. Under her leadership, the company became a global brand operating 15 airports in eight countries, serving over 100 million passengers annually.
Geriş, who will leave her role on 30 June 2025, played a pivotal role in strengthening TAV Airports’ corporate finance structure and achieving international success.
Nazım Yaprak Appointed Deputy CFO
Another senior appointment at TAV Airports is that of Nazım Yaprak, who has been named Deputy CFO. Yaprak currently serves as Director of Treasury and Financial Affairs and will continue his existing responsibilities alongside his new role. A graduate of Istanbul University and an Executive MBA alumnus of Koç University, Yaprak has held key positions within TAV for nearly 20 years following his earlier experience in the banking sector.
