Rising tensions in the Middle East are prompting countries in the region to tighten their security measures. Jordan has decided to temporarily close its airspace for the second time amid a potential Israeli military operation against Iran. In a statement from the Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission, it was announced that air traffic has been suspended due to escalating regional tensions.
The same authority had implemented a similar measure on June 13. No official date has been given for when the airspace will reopen.
Meanwhile, the King Hussein Bridge, which had been temporarily closed by Israel for security reasons, was reopened to passenger traffic today at 08:00, according to a statement from Jordan’s Public Security Directorate.
