A Jeju Air plane in South Korea experienced a crash on December 29 at Muan Airport due to an engine malfunction. MBN Television reported a significant development regarding the incident: bird feathers were discovered in the plane’s engines.
Possibility of Bird Strike Strengthens
According to media reports, bird feathers and bloodstains were found in both engines of the aircraft, reinforcing the possibility that a bird strike may have caused the engine malfunction. Additionally, it is suspected that the malfunction leading to the crash might also be related to an electrical failure.
Biological Analysis Requested
To determine the exact cause of the incident, the investigation committee has initiated a comprehensive analysis process. Seventeen different samples, including feathers and bloodstains, have been sent to a biological institute. Experts will test these samples to identify the bird species and uncover technical details related to the event.
