According to Eurocontrol data, in the first half of 2024, it continued to maintain its leading position as the airport with the most flights in Europe, surpassing major hubs like Paris, London, and Amsterdam.

Since its opening, Istanbul Airport has stood out with the awards it has received. Voted “World’s Best Airport” by Conde Nast Traveler readers, it also won the “Best Airport in Europe” title from prestigious organizations such as Skytrax and ACI Europe, reinforcing its industry success. Additionally, it topped the Travel and Leisure surveys and was awarded “Best Airport in Southern Europe” by Skytrax in 2024.
