Turkey’s Growing Presence in European Air Traffic

Istanbul’s strong performance is supported by Turkish Airlines’ expanding flight network, operational efficiency, and new destination investments.
The airport stands as one of the strategic centres of European aviation not only for passenger transport but also for transfer traffic, cargo operations, and transit connectivity.
Goal: Becoming the Heart of Global Aviation
İGA Istanbul Airport aims to rank among the world’s top three airports by 2026 and beyond, with strategies focused on sustainable growth, digital transformation, and environmentally friendly operations.
Maintaining its consistent leadership in Europe, Istanbul Airport is preparing to further strengthen its role as a bridge between East and West.
