Security Adjustment to Middle East Flights by AJet

The escalating security crisis in the Middle East continues to disrupt air travel in the region. Following Israel’s attacks on Iran and the subsequent closure of Iranian airspace, AJet’s flight operations—like many other international airlines—have been affected.

According to an official statement from AJet, all flights to Iran, Iraq, and Jordan have been temporarily suspended until 06:00 on Monday, 16 June 2025. The airline emphasised that the decision was made with passenger and flight safety as the top priority.

Daytime Restriction on Lebanon Flights

Due to security concerns, AJet announced that flights to Lebanon will only be operated during daylight hours. In addition, Middle East flights that typically use Iraqi airspace as an overflight corridor will now be rerouted via alternative paths.

Middle East Crisis Disrupts Air Traffic

The temporary closure of Iranian airspace following Israel’s strikes on targets in Iran has led to a reshaping of international flight routes. Airlines operating in the region are prioritising safety and implementing new routes, while some flights are being cancelled.

AJet’s decision will have a direct impact on passengers planning to travel to the region, especially during the summer season. Travellers are advised to follow the airline’s official communication channels for the latest updates and alternative flight arrangements.
