Iranian officials have denied allegations that the German airline Lufthansa has canceled flights to Tehran. Said Calendi, the General Manager of Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport, stated that reports claiming Lufthansa halted flights for security reasons are untrue.
Calendi mentioned that around 1000 flights have operated from the airport during the Ramadan holiday period, and Lufthansa has not canceled its planned flights to Tehran. Emphasizing that the reports are inaccurate, Calendi noted that Lufthansa had canceled a few previously scheduled flights, but apart from those, there have been no cancellations.
A spokesperson for Lufthansa Airlines had previously announced the suspension of flights to Tehran due to the security situation in the Middle East. However, Iranian officials stated that this announcement was incorrect, asserting that Lufthansa has been operating flights to Tehran as planned since April 7th.
