International Airlines on High Alert! Houthis Warn Companies Flying to Israel!

The Houthis in Yemen have announced that they have placed Israel’s largest airport, Ben Gurion Airport, under an aerial blockade. International airline companies have been strongly warned to halt their flights to Israel.

Details of the Announcement:

On Saturday morning, the Houthis declared on X (formerly Twitter), “Ben Gurion Airport is under blockade.” The statement indicated that the airport had been targeted following the Yemeni Armed Forces’ successful operations against Israeli ships in the Red Sea.

The Houthis specifically addressed major airlines such as Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines, Air France, British Airways, United Airlines, and easyJet, warning: “For everyone’s safety, do not fly to Israel.”

The statement included the striking remark:

“Ben Gurion Airport is no longer safe until the attacks on Gaza stop. Take the decision of the Yemeni Armed Forces seriously.”

Missile Threat Persists:

This statement came shortly after the Houthis launched numerous ballistic missiles at Israel last week. On Friday, the group targeted Jerusalem with missiles for the third time in two months.

Is Global Aviation Under Threat?

This threat not only affects Israel but also all international airlines operating flights to the country. So far, no official statements have been made by airline companies, but international aviation authorities are expected to assess the situation.
