Azerbaijan’s national airline, Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), and Israel’s flag carrier, El Al, have signed a historic code-share agreement. This collaboration will allow passengers of both airlines to travel on flights operated by either El Al or AZAL.
Under the agreement, El Al’s flight code (LY) will be integrated into AZAL’s Tel Aviv – Baku flights, as well as additional connecting flights in the future. Additionally, members of the Matmid Frequent Flyer Program will have the opportunity to earn points on flights to Baku.
In a statement from AZAL, it was mentioned: “Tickets can now be purchased through the websites of both airlines or through travel agencies.”
