Erkut Çelebi, President of the Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TTSO), has announced a significant rise in demand for direct flights from Iran to Trabzon. Speaking during a meeting with Naser Mohebati, the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Trabzon, Çelebi expressed a desire to establish direct connections between Iran and Trabzon, similar to those already operating with destinations like Baku and Tbilisi.
Tourism and Trade on the Agenda
The discussion covered 2025 tourism projects, increased activity during the Nowruz holiday, and plans for Iranian travel agencies to visit Trabzon. Çelebi highlighted growing interest from Iranian tourism and business circles for direct flights and confirmed ongoing efforts to meet this demand.
Invitation from Iran to TTSO
Officials from the Iranian Consulate suggested strengthening trade between Trabzon and various regions of Iran. Discussions included ideas for reciprocal trade opportunities, and the TTSO delegation was invited to visit industrial zones in Iran to explore potential collaborations.
